
Inter/Media Foundation’s Silent Auction for The Alzheimer’s Association Generates Nearly $11,000 in Sales & Donations
Top Items Include Signed USC Heisman Helmet and Nadal/Federer Collage
ENCINO, CA (September 8, 2008) – The Silent Auction that The Inter/Media Foundation hosted Thursday in its office building lobby in Encino to benefit The Alzheimer’s Association generated nearly $11,000 in auction sales and donations.
The leading two prizes were a football helmet signed by all of USC’s Heisman Trophy winners, which sold for the top bid of $2,000 and a signed collage of memorabilia from tennis superstars Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, which netted $1,500.
The funds will be used by The Alzheimer’s Association in the fight to prevent the onset of dementia.
“This was a great first silent auction for the Inter/Media Foundation and we’re excited that we can make a contribution,” said Robert Yallen, President of the Inter/Media Group of Companies. “This is a terrific model and we look forward to implementing it for other causes as well.”
